Family-Oriented Wedding at Central Park, New York
Daniel and Fiorella decided to have a mini-wedding at Central Park surrounded by close friends and family. However, this wedding would only be the first part of their celebrations since they would have another wedding in Portugal. We started off with a couple only first look at the Bethesda Terrace then to the ceremony at the Western Shore Boat Landing. The small gathering of loved ones made the event so much more intimate. The couple was met by tears, laughter, and love from everyone in attendance; their smiles were much brighter. The end of the ceremony was followed by family and friends photos back at the Bethesda Terrace. Then a grand finale wedding dinner at Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ.
Ceremony & Park: Central Park // Venue: Liberty House
Liberty House is an American cuisine venue located in Jersey City, NJ. It is conveniently located within the Liberty State Park vicinity. It boasts one of the best views of the Manhattan Skyline, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. The surrounding neighborhood is full of picturesque locations and points of interest that make it a photographer’s dream. The venue has a fantastic outdoor garden area full of awesome features. Just a step outside and you’re welcome by an oversized chess set, a firepit patio, and private cabanas. The interior design of this place is also beautiful with classy decorations, and several types of rooms to accommodate various groups of guests. The staff was also very well coordinated, organized, and friendly.
From a photography aspect, lighting was fantastic all around the grounds of the venue and even indoors if light permits; the all-glass doors make natural light a breeze. We opted to continue photographs during golden hour and blue hour to make the most use of the location. The best part was that additional guests weren’t flocking to the venue just yet, especially during Spring when you can aspect sunset around 5PM~6PM. It was so awesome to photograph such a stylish and fun couple. They were natural at expressing their love to one another and were definitely comfortable in front of a camera. Overall, this is one of the best weddings I’ve photographed in 2021, and knowing this couple prior, made it much more enjoyable to see their love story unfold.
