Fourth of July Wedding at The Westwood in Garwood, New Jersey
Anndy proposed to Maria on The Fourth of July, and to commemorate their engagement they decided to celebrate their wedding on the same day at The Westwood. They planned a wedding day focused on family, close friends, and overall togetherness. It was a fun time photographing them together and capturing their love story.
Church: Blessed Sacrament // Park: Mindowaskin Park // Venue: The Westwood
The Westwood is the go-to wedding venue in Garwood, New Jersey. It is a family-oriented venue with a rich history of over 50 years. It’s close to many beautiful parks and ideal locations to photograph if you’re in a time pinch. The venue itself has a nice gazebo, and the beautiful interior design allows for great photographs. The sparkler exit was the easiest to accomplish with the nice long strip in front of the venue.
From a photography aspect, the venue didn’t pose any challenge at all which is honestly a great thing on a stressful wedding day! Depending on the weather the outside gazebo makes a great place for bride and groom photos, family photos, and even the bridal party photos. Having an all-white interior and ceiling makes it even easier to use flash even at low settings. With all the challenging lighting situations on wedding days, it’s always a breath of fresh air to have an easier relaxed day.
